Protect your photos with a watermark
A watermark marks a photo as yours and discourages people from reusing it without credit. This tool lets you place text exactly where you want — tucked in a corner, centered, or tiled diagonally across the whole image so it can't simply be cropped away. Control the size, color, transparency and angle to strike the balance between visible and unobtrusive.
How to use it
- Upload your photo and type the watermark text.
- Choose a position and tune the size, color, opacity and angle.
- Download the watermarked image as a PNG.
Frequently asked questions
How do I watermark an image?
Upload a photo, type your watermark text, and pick a position — a corner, the center, or tiled across the whole image. Adjust size, color, opacity and angle, then download the result.
Can I tile the watermark across the photo?
Yes. Choose 'Tiled' as the position to repeat your text diagonally over the entire image, which is much harder to crop out.
Can I make the watermark see-through?
Yes. The opacity slider goes from faint to fully solid, so you can add a subtle mark that doesn't overpower the photo.
What's the difference from the PDF watermark tool?
This tool stamps a watermark onto an image file (JPG, PNG, WebP) and exports a PNG. The PDF watermark tool adds marks to the pages of a PDF document instead.
Are my images uploaded?
No. The watermark is drawn on a canvas in your browser, so your photo never leaves your device.
