Working Days Calculator
Count the business days between two dates — skip weekends, subtract your own holidays, and choose whether to include the end day. Fast and private.
Pick a start and end date to begin.
Plan around the working week
Counting business days by hand is error-prone — weekends sneak in, holidays get missed, and "ten working days" turns into a guess. This calculator does it precisely: pick two dates and it returns the number of working days between them, with weekends and any holidays you list taken out.
How to use it
- Choose a start and end date.
- Decide whether Saturdays or Sundays count as working days.
- Paste any holidays to exclude, one per line or comma-separated.
- Tick Include end day if both dates should count.
Useful for
- Project timelines — turn working days into real dates.
- Leave & payroll — count annual leave accurately.
- SLAs & deadlines — "within 5 business days".
- Shipping estimates — exclude non-delivery days.
Frequently asked questions
How are working days counted?
By default the tool counts Monday to Friday between your two dates and skips Saturdays and Sundays. You can include Saturday and/or Sunday if your week is different.
Can I exclude public holidays?
Yes. Paste your holiday dates as YYYY-MM-DD (separated by commas, spaces or new lines) and any that fall on a working day are subtracted from the total. Holidays vary by country, so you supply your own.
What does 'include end day' do?
By default the end date isn't counted (the gap between dates). Tick 'Include end day' to count both the start and end dates — useful for leave requests and project durations.
Is my data private?
Yes. Dates and holidays are processed only in your browser and never leave your device.
