Fraction to Percent Converter
A fraction and a percentage say the same thing two ways — 3/4 and 75% are the same share. Converting is one division: the fraction bar is just a divide sign, and the 'percent' step scales the answer to a base of 100.
The formula
Percent = (Numerator ÷ Denominator) × 100
How to calculate it
- Divide the top of the fraction by the bottom (3 ÷ 4 = 0.75).
- Multiply by 100 (0.75 → 75).
- Add the % sign (75%).
Worked example
3/4 as a percent: 3 ÷ 4 = 0.75, × 100 = 75%.
