Count the days between any two dates
Whether you're working out how long until a deadline, the length of a trip, a notice period, or how many days old something is, this tool gives you the answer instantly. Enter two dates and you'll see the total days, the equivalent in weeks, a calendar breakdown in years, months and days, and the number of business days that fall between them.
How to use it
- Choose your start date.
- Choose your end date (any order works).
- Optionally tick Include end day to count both dates.
Days vs. business days
The total is every calendar day in the range. Business days count only Monday to Friday, which is useful for shipping estimates, contracts and work schedules. Note that national and regional holidays differ around the world, so they aren't deducted from the business-day figure.
Frequently asked questions
How do I count the days between two dates?
Pick a start date and an end date — the number of days, weeks and business days updates instantly. The order doesn't matter; the tool always measures the gap between them.
Does it include both the start and end day?
By default the count is exclusive of the end date (the gap between the dates). Tick 'Include end day' to count both dates, which is handy for things like trip lengths or notice periods.
What are business days?
Business days are weekdays only — Monday through Friday — with Saturdays and Sundays excluded. Public holidays vary by country, so they are not subtracted automatically.
Is my data private?
Yes. The dates you enter are used only in your browser to compute the result. Nothing is uploaded or stored.
